Break away from store-bought and taste the difference. No chemicals, no GMO’s, and no endless list of ingredients that you can’t pronounce.
King Arthur Flour’s No-Knead white bread
• 3 cups warm water
• 6 1/2 – 7 1/2 cups flour
• 1 Tbsp salt
• 1 1/2 Tbsp yeast
Combine ingredients in a large bowl and mix by hand, or with a dough hook in your mixer. Let the dough rise for at least 2 hours at room temperature, it will rise considerably so be sure to use a 6 quart container or larger. Refrigerate the dough for at least 2 hours, or up to 7 days. Form the dough into rolls, flatbreads, or loaves. Allow them to rise for about an hour. We bake on parchment paper, and that cuts down on some of the mess. You can egg wash your bread before baking, or flour the loaves, depending on the look you’d like. Preheat your oven to 450 degrees and bake the bread until the internal temperature is 190 degrees. The baking time will depend on the size of loaf or roll you make. Let the loaves cool and enjoy!
This is such a versatile bread, you can use it for sandwiches, flatbread, french toast, or for dipping into your favorite herbed oil.
